'Diet' doesn't have to be a bad word...

The saying goes: You are what you eat. Well, it's actually quite true. Your food choices can have a huge impact on your health. Eating healthy, nutritiously balanced meals promotes well-being that goes beyond just your physical condition. Things as simple as growing herbs in a pot by your back door can bring about a new sense of ownership and appreciate for the foods you eat, as well as improve your home cooked menu! In this section, you'll find some of my favorite recipes. I think you will be surprised at how easy it is to make healthy choices and still enjoy dishes that will please your taste buds! These and more can be found in my cookbooks.
Recipes
These are recipes for some of my favorite healthy dishes, including low-fat recipes, low-sodium recipes and heart-healthy recipes. All of these foods can easily be incorporated into your diet plan. Each recipe includes healthy ingredients and preparation tips. Don't forget to look for ingredients in unconventional places- for example, shopping for produce at the farmer's market can be a rewarding experience and a chance to connect with your neighborhood as well as get the freshest seasonal ingredients. Whatever you do, just remember that the fresher your ingredients, the more healthy your meal will be!
